~~Holy Cowplatter. Is it really April 10 already? I knew I was a tad lazier than usual but I was not aware I was probably not even conscious for most of the last 11 days, or whatever. I may have just been a wee bit discombobulated and razzlefratzed --- or? Oh Hell! --I'm just a LAZY ol' crone I guess.
.
Oh good grief. It's getting kind of late in the afternoon. And I haven't done squat. Sounds familiar, eh? Har Har. But it does mean something very vital to my well-being, though. I must be trudging along to the kitchen now to do a bit of research. Exploring the cupboards and the refrigerator and things like that. It's a dirty job but someone has to do it, right?
.
There's really nothing of any interest to anybody about what I've been doing the past few days. Well, there's a small item that is of enormous interest to ME, and since I am all that counts---at this present moment, at least---it is really quite boring but.....oh well, I will tell you anyway. Keep the yawning to a minimum, OK?
.
The really Big Deal, The News of the Century, The Most boring exciting bit of communication from one extraordinary human being to a gaggle of reelly speshul human type persons is [drumroll pleez?] --- I am moving into another broken-down hovel soon. May 15th to be exact. Wheeeeee.
.
You know what this means? Well, probably not. So I'll tell you. I can--finally--have a fuzzy furry finicky fusspot feline roommate. YAY! I didn't even *think* about getting a cat at this place, I had a pretty good reason for not having one lounging around but not paying her share of the rent or food or anything, actually----the pet deposit at my current abode is $500!! Which is, excuse my language, a crock of ka-ka......
.
Our U.S. Humane Society here in the city has a page on their website that features about a dozen thumbnail shots of kitties up for adoption. It's a good website, but sad in a way. Some days there will be 2 or 3 cats who are quite lovely but!....they will be, like, *10 yrs. old*, or *8 yrs.*, etc. It is highly possible that, since cats over 1 yr. old are "free" to adoptive parents, that soft-hearted people will take those older cats home to allow them to live comfortably in a loving home until......well, you know.
.
There was one cute kitty who, the description said, was "11 mos. old". And I thought, am I the only one who would aim for waiting it out for a month and hope no-one takes her before she turns "one"? I mean, cats 11 mos. old cost $75 and those who have turned "one" are free. Wouldn't you hang in there and gamble on "Annie" being there a month from now? hahahaha Not that I am so cheap or anything. Yeah, right.
This is Annie. The 11-mo. old kitty.
She's a cutie, isn't she?
