Quiet night~~~~but that's OK. I have nothing better to do than sit here at the machine, at least it keeps me from scarfing on snack junk. Uh-huh, like I'm not going to zoom in later on that interesting "Cajun Krab Spread" I bought at the deli today. I don't know why they spelled it "Krab", I always thought it was spelled "crab", but what do I know.

Anyway! Finished up an interesting discussion on my ISP forums. Three people from the forum said they could not "get" my blog page. All they saw was the background of flowers. Two of them said I was being "exclusive" as I had always talked about using only IE6 to work in on my site. One said his NS4+ was perfectly OK with him and "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". The other said she thought I should I should fix the problem. The third man was also using an old Netscape, but at least he was willing to try the new IE that came with his XP. But he too said he liked his old Netscape and thought Internet Explorer had too many bells and whistles and he didn't like it. Whaaa?

So I went running to the kid. And she had a great reply for me. Won't go into details, but she recommended I provide the readers at the forums with the link to the Web Standards Project ....... which is kind of ironic since someone at the forum also said it was a shame that browsers could not be more compatible. Someone else blamed Microsoft. sigh

Kitty had a great answer for people who want web designers to accomodate their creaky browsers, rather than update to new versions. She said:: "Bottom line? Let them browse the web with a bicycle. I prefer a Lexus myself. So there". Yeah!! You go, girl.
