Just to show you~~how important this post is, I am delaying my midday food-wallow (some people call it lunch) to bring you realllly big news. *caraaackk* (clearing throat). I found out that Bravo cable channel is going to show the 1st season of "The Larry Sanders Show", starting Sept. 30. Garry Shandling is Larry Sanders. Only those who had HBO and watched it when this funny, funny show was on for many years will understand my excitement. If you've never seen it, try it, you might like it. It's been so long I'm sure I don't know what the first season was about. Guess I'll find out Sept. 30.

Speaking of TV, how come people who profess to speak to the dead (like that guy on SciFi?) don't contact someone interesting, like, say, Albert Einstein, or President Kennedy, or even Frank Sinatra? Why is it only someone's Uncle Ishkabibble that gets to talk from the great beyond? Just wondering.

I watched "Pet Psychic" for the second time last night. Didn't learn my lesson the first time, I guess. Who's kidding who here? I love listening to her talk, that British accent is absolutely mahvelous, dah-ling, but I noticed when she is supposedly "listening" to what the pet has to say, the pet is either asleep or not paying a bit of attention. It's kind of fun, anyway.

I posted a picture of myself on my homestead page, if you're curious? It's that "rest of the story" button on your left.

Let's see, how did that go?~~Oh yeah. Fool me once, shame on you........Fool me twice, shame on me. Is that what you were trying to say, Georgie, as you were fumbling for words at the podium? This is your fearless leader, folks. Anyone for a barf bag?

Me, again~~I decided this lazy day of just laying around would be a good time to see what other people are doing, blog-wise. KittyKitty said something the other day about wanting to see "The Banger Sisters", which I have no interest in whatsoever---and especially since seeing Sarandon and Hawn on "The View" the other day. Yesterday? Whenever. Then lo and behold, what did I find at Jodi's place? Yup, some interesting talk about the movie and the two hags starring in it. Take a peeky-peeky.

Ooooh, Aah, Owie Owie~~Only kidding!! I feel fine, which kind of surprises me 'cause I thought I would hurt like a somofabitch today after the excess of walking, standing and scaling steps yesterday. Feel fine, but don't think I'd want to run around the block any time soon. Growing old is not for sissies. Remember that, you youngun's.

Don't know if it will work or not, but I sure would like to hear various opinions about this current administration and of course, the selected president's relentless pursuit of a pre-emptive strike on Iraq. Is Dubya blowing smoke up our collective arses by distracting the citizenry from the abysmal domestic situation......economy, et al? I personally detest him. I detest what Shrub's stupidity and that maniacal, egotistical, power-hungry A.G. John Asscroft are doing to our civil liberties..........and letting the extreme, wacko religious right call too many shots for comfort. Chipping away at Roe v Wade, well, the list is too long to go into right now.

OK, that's my big blog for today. For what it's worth. I'm just throwing it out there for the hell of it.

Oh, what a beautiful~~~day today. The sky was blue. the sun was shining and the breeze off the lake was cool and refreshing, and we were going in to view the special art exhibit of "Leonardo da Vinci and the Splendor of Poland".. The new addition to Milwaukee's art museum (including the Santiago Calatrava Brise Soleil) is absolutely awesome and I want to go back. As soon as possible. hehe

Leonardo da Vinci's portrait of the "woman with the ermine" was lovely, but I think just the thought of this genius sitting at his easel 512 years go was what got me, ahem...hot? After that we wandered back into the museum, Kathie wanted to look at abstracts.......we never really found the whole collection, or at least, what she wanted to see and I was sorry about that. But we will be back.

I want to publicly thank my dear girl for giving me such a wonderful day. See, she is not too wild about the Renaissance period and/or the old masters. But she did it for me and I love her a whole bunch. Next time we will see her beloved abstracts and other stuff.........I wonder how many days it would take to actually see everything that's in the museum. Yikes!

Boy, am I pooped. Whew.
