OK, what is this?~~I wanted a sandwich for lunch. I was too lazy to make tuna or egg salad. So I took five pork sausages from the freezer for my sandwich. Five would fit nicely on a nice sesame hard roll. When sausage is frozen, I generally put them in a frying pan with water, cover and let them cook. Then drain off the water and brown them. OK, I tested one by cutting it in half. Then I noticed this peculiar greyish "thing" on the sausage. So I pulled it off. ACK!!
It slid very nicely off the sausage..............just like a condom. Yup, all the sausages were wearing condoms. I pulled these "things" off the other sausages and laid the stuff in a little pile on the counter. Then I was free to brown those naked little things in the pan. I discarded the used condoms, never realized sausage casings were so totally unappetizing. This was kind of bizarre.
I enjoyed my sandwich though......

Fan-damn-tastic~~~that's what I call Gen. Colin Powell. I was going to do some housework this morning, (yeah, right) but sat down and listened to the speech that was supposed to convince the U.N. and the world---it was broadcast globally---that AntsyPants Bush really believes Saddam Hussein needs to be blasted off the face of the earth. I don't argue pro or con for war, don't think anyone really knows what is right or wrong at this point. Both sides make some sense. Anyhoooo.............
I absolutely love Colin. If there were an election for president (a real one) next week I think he would win in a landslide. He exudes a sense of power, confidence, and most important -- intelligence. He has an impressive presence when he walks up to a podium.. There is nothing sexier than a big smart man who lets his intellect speak for him, he doesn't have to brag. He is not a pretty-boy, but that doesn't make any difference. I would take brains over a a pretty face anytime. Woo-Woo

No, No, No~~~I refuse to get all teary and maudlin about the Columbia tragedy. Heaven knows every channel of the broadcasting spectrum has done all that for us. Over and over and over. Good grief, the media will never learn, will they? They just keep blathering on, doesn't matter if there's really nothing more to say. I looked for local news this past weekend, all I got was Columbia and its tragic heroes. Instead of an honest and sincere declaration of grief and pain that something like this can happen---perhaps about 2 days less repetitive talk and showing the same picture---the media cheapen what should be more dignified and appropriately solemn broadcasting..
Well actually, I think the Columbia disaster's coverage was less than Princess Di's and John K Jr's untimely deaths. Those two unlikely, and thereby shocking, events seemed to go on forever. The media never knows when to quit, do they?
The deaths of heroes happen all the time. Firefighters, policeofficers, military personnel......all doing their job just as the crew of Columbia were doing. Four of our soldiers died a week ago in the helicopter crash in Afghanistan, how much air time did they get? What a world.
